Here is an example of an early tool which has been difficult to classify, but it believed to represent the early first variation #3 tool. This particular example is for the 38-45 Bullard.  Here are examples of Bullard-marked bullet molds.  And, here are two more examples...one in 38-50 R and another in 38-50 M.

  • No bullet mold present

  • Recapper near the nose where the bullet mold "should" be

  • Bullet sizer

  • Adjustable seating chamber

  • Offered in single shot rifle calibers

  • Produced 1885 (very rare)
