This tool in 45 Colt caliber represents a second variation Ideal #3 tool. Here are the features:

  • Overall length of 9 inches

  • No bullet mold present

  • Recapper near the nose where the bullet mold "should" be

  • Bullet sizer

  • Case sizer next to the recapper on top of the tool

  • Non-adjustable seating chamber

  • Offered in single shot rifle calibers

  • Produced 1886 to approximately 1893

  • Earlier production examples have manufacturer's and patent date stamps on the same side of the tool
