One of the images from the recent Denver gun show shows a Ladd-like tool laying on the table just above the Ideal box top. An image of a identical tool is seen below. The tool appears to be for 45 caliber, probably 45-60. It is unmarked, but bears similarity with other Ladd-like tools in overall morphology and exterior finish. The "Ladd" attribution of these unmarked tools is tentative. Anyone have a similar one in a different caliber?...similar one with any markings?....similar one in association with rifle or other accessories which might give a clue to its origin? Again, the best recent article about Ladd related tools was by Tom Quigley in The Gun Report, Volume 42, number 2, p. 22-27 (July 1996) in an article entitled "C. D. Ladd Loading Tools and Their Kin".
