Here is a composite image showing three high quality adjustable brass paper patch molds. The molds are for 45, 40 and 45 caliber bullets (top-to_bottom). The ruler shown in the images is provided as a guide to the overall size of the molds and does not apply to the inserts. These molds share many morphologic features and were very likely manufactured by the same company. The top mold is different from the lower two in that the surfaces on which the sprue cutter operates are two thin pieces of iron and brass which have been pinned onto the surfaces of the sprue cutter and main part of the mold block. The top one is also different from the other two in that the wooden handles are pinned onto the handles and no pins are seen in the others. The top of the sliding adjustable pins are convex to allow for "tucking" some extra patch material up against the base of the bullet. All three molds have brass ferrules.
