Henry T. Hazard was a prominent Los Angeles, California attorney and mayor (see "H. T. Hazard: Lawyer, Mayor, Inventor" in the Gun Report volume 47, p. 26-41, July 2001). He patented several shot shell loading tools including a shell crimper that was "powered" by the operator's feet instead of by hand as was the general method. This tool was No. 332,712 patented on December 22, 1885.
