In 1868 Charles Parker reorganized the Meriden Manufacturing Company under the name Parker Brothers. In 1934 the firm would be taken over by Remington. Page 28 of the July 1, 1882 Parker Catalogue shows a 12 gauge Bench Closer No. 30. The No. 31 was 10 gauge. Here is one of the 12 gauge models...the tool is unmarked.
