In 1868 Charles Parker reorganized the Meriden Manufacturing Company under the name Parker Brothers. In 1934 the firm would be taken over by Remington. On April 7, 1874 Joseph L. Raub of Nevada, Ohio patented a cartridge capping tool that was assigned to Wilbur F. Parker #149,525
