Here is an interesting and unusual gang mold. This one is completely iron in construction, over a foot long, and molds seven bullets at once. The mold is marked on the bottom of the blocks as shown for the 45 230 GOV bullet. The "UMC Co" stamp mark is repeated three times on the bottom of the blocks as well. Four of these molds have been encountered with three for 45 caliber and one 58 caliber with hollow base attachment. One of the molds had several apparently original unit markings. The bulbous protrusion on the sprue cutter is a "stop" to allow easy alignment of the sprue cutter holes with underlying casting cavities.
