What to do with those really long cartridges like the 40-90? Just lengthen the seating chamber by adding on another segment of the die. Here is just such an example and the alteration appears to be a factory job. Otherwise, the tool shows all usual features for a large frame 1875 tool.
This small frame example has the Berdan decapping chisel and is one of the early examples with a small number stamped on the underside of the extractor plate...in this case #24.
