
This large frame example is in 45 60; it has no serial number.

And this one is marked 50 CARB for the shortened version of the 50-70 Government cartridge. Imagine the stories that this old tool could tell. As they say, it was "rode hard and put away wet"; no original finish remains. An early variation, it has the number "21" stamped on the underside of the extractor plate. Notice that this tool has the integral base used for supporting the cartridge during seating of the bullet (there is no pin on the side of the frame below the seating chamber); compare this one with the 45-60 tool above which has the pinned cartridge base.
