Winchester 1894 tools are relatively commonly seen in the collector's market. However, this example is very unusual in that it appears to be in very good to excellent original condition, and, yet, bears no marking whatsoever. By trial and error, the chamber was determined to fit the 40-70 B.N. cartridge, but is also unmarked. Most Winchester 1894 tools have caliber markings stamped on the knurled sizing/seating chamber, and also have Winchester company markings on the side. 1894 tools are quite rare in Remington/Sharps calibers....perhaps this one was special ordered and the caliber marking omitted by request....or maybe it was a "lunch box" special, removed from the factory by some enterprising, but untrustworthy employee.
