The last model Winchester mold is most familar to collectors. It is very similar in overall appearance with the fourth model, but has the all-important wooden handles. Anyone who has every cast their own bullets certainly appreciates the comfort and convenience of having the wooden handles firmly fixed to the mold. The wooden handles were held into place by an elongated locking nut that screwed onto the threaded ends of the mold handles. In contrast, the fourth model molds do not have threaded end. Fifth model molds were produced in a variety of calibers from 22-50. They were all marked as being "Manufactured by the Winchester Rep Arms Co New Haven, Conn U.S.A.". Some were accompanied by hollow-point pins (which are almost always lost).
